AEC could aptly be described as a Bee Hive: pupils, students, academic staff and administrators are all very busy people, and a visitor to the school at any time cannot fail to gain a sense of discipline, diligence, determination, focus, commitment, and the fun, which exude from everyone here. The philosophy at AEC is academic excellence, teamwork, quality, discipline, integrity, responsibility and results. These core values shape life at AEC, and our commitment to these values means that we do not entertain mediocrity. In consonance with this, we work at all times to provide a balanced and broad-based education within a caring, supportive, enabling and secure atmosphere where our pupils and students can achieve their full potential.

In pursuance of our core values, our staff members are highly qualified and dedicated individuals who always guide and guard every pupil and student in their academic work. The Housemasters/mistresses, the Dean for pupils and students and teachers are always there to guide and support our students to develop the ability to think laterally, coherently, critically and creatively; we do this through:

Another feature that sets apart AEC from the rest is the distinct well-established Guidance and Counseling unit made up of seasoned and experienced mature individuals whose integrity is unblemished. Pupils and students' access to this unit has really changed lives over the years from morally weak to moral uprightness, from academically weak to brilliance and dejection to highly-spirited individuals. All these are characterized by God-fearing spirit and love for one another.
