It was an unforgettable and unprecedented occasion in the annals of Angel Educational Complex where employees were given the recognition of their contribution towards the growth and development of the Complex by the Founder/President Dr. Kwaku Oteng, a renowned industrialist and an entrepreneur. Laptops, Digital High Definition Flat-screen TV sets, video decks were some of the valuable items presented to the deserving award winners. The icing on the cake was the grand and the ultimate award of a Toyota Corolla Saloon Car awarded to the overall best teacher for the 2010/2011 academic year.

The ecstasy, the tears of joy and the euphoria that welcomed MR. DANIEL OMANE ADJEKUM, the Assistant Head teacher of the Primary School as the overall best teacher and the proud winner of the ultimate award could not be hidden by the teeming crowd of Students, Staff, PTA Executives, Board Members, Parents and the Founder/President of the Complex. It was an award that he deserved. He was overwhelmed by the gesture of appreciation of his tremendous contribution to the progressive growth of the Complex.

It was not only educative, it was informative too as the British Council, during their 2011 Customer Service Week, invited some of the top schools in the Kumasi Metropolitan Area to lock horns on two thought-provoking topics, “That the customer is always right” and “That customer service is not a department; it is an attitude” to climax their week-long  customer service awareness week on 12th October, 2011 at the British Council, Kumasi

Our debaters, Pascal Deeshini Aliu Alhassan, Issah Barry Alimatu and Boahen Lorreta really rose to the occasion as they demonstrated a great deal of skill in their delivery. Their eloquence, articulation, gestures and diction were a delight to watch and hear. The debate was highly competitive, invigorating and so much inspiring.

Angel debated with International Community School (ICS) and Opoku Ware Senior High School in the first round, and ICS was floored miserably with the venom that Pascal and Issah unleashed on their dull and uninspiring two ladies and a gentleman. ICS started well with a thunderous applause from their well- attended supporters but their ego was deflated and flattened by the powerful oratory displayed by Pascal and Issah. They delivered extemporaneously to the admiration of all including the panel of judges drawn from the media, the judiciary and the British Council.

As part of efforts to further elevate the academic standards of Angel Educational Complex to an international level, and to broaden the cultural diversity of both students and instructors by the introduction of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) in our academic programmes, the Authorities of the Complex, in collaboration with British International School (BIS), Accra, selected some students and teachers of the Complex  to embark on a two-week International Summer Educational trip to Leicester Montessori Grammar School in London from 16th July to 31st July, 2011.

It was highly educative, informative and exciting. In all, the students and teachers had a great experience of a life time. They had the opportunity to work together with students from different countries including China and the UK. They interacted with new teachers and students, and engaged in innovative resources which had greatly broadened and enriched their international horizon.
